How we work

This disclosure statement provides important information about Finly and our services. Please read it before proceeding with an enquiry.

Who we are

Finly NZ Limited (trading as “Finly”) is a registered financial service provider and finance broker.

We are not a lender and do not provide credit ourselves. Our role is to help you understand and compare finance options that may be available to you.

What we do

We help customers understand and compare vehicle finance options from a panel of lenders. This includes:

  • Gathering information about your situation and what you're looking for
  • Identifying finance options that may be suitable based on your circumstances
  • Explaining those options in clear, simple terms
  • Assisting through the application process if you choose to proceed

Suitability depends on your individual circumstances and the accuracy of the information you provide. We recommend you consider whether any option is right for you before proceeding.

Our lender panel

We work with a panel of lenders to source finance options. We do not assess the entire market — the options we present are limited to those available through our panel at the time of your enquiry.

You are welcome to compare options from other sources before making a decision.

Fees and commission

We do not usually charge customers a fee for our service.

If you proceed with a loan through one of our panel lenders, Finly may receive a commission from that lender. The amount may vary depending on the lender and product.

We recognise that this may create a potential conflict of interest. We manage this by maintaining processes and training focused on acting in your interest, and by being transparent about how we are paid. You are free to ask us about the commission we may receive in relation to your enquiry.

If you have a complaint about our service or the financial advice you receive, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.

Use of AI tools

We may use AI tools to assist with certain internal tasks, such as summarising information, drafting communications, routing enquiries, or preparing internal notes.

AI does not make lending decisions. A member of our team reviews any output before it is finalised or communicated to you.

If you would prefer a fully manual process, you're welcome to let us know and we'll accommodate that where practicable.
